Parsons 'Barber Shop'

What a whirlwind of a day! I had some other blog posts scheduled for today but I was so excited about this one, that it became tonight's priority. I went to my office this morning, did lots of work, had a lunch meeting, left work, walked to the jewelry store, spent lots of money at the jewelry store (on a well-deserved diamond & sapphire ring that's beautiful), took over $200 in my old clothes to our local consignment store (to help justify my shiny new ring purchase), then went to Goodwill (because I felt great since I sold my old clothes for so much moolah), picked up a Chai tea, and headed to a new favorite spot of mine in Parsonsburg. Phew. Busy, right?

I scored big at Goodwill tonight! I picked up an old vintage desk that I'm hoping to refurbish, a new circle skirt, a gold vintage purse, and this gorgeous black vintage purse. Best part is... all of those items cost me a total of $25! This purse was $6 and is a gem.
I love the black damask velvet print and gold sea shell clasp. It just screams my name, don't you agree? I wonder how old it is. Some stylish lady must have purchased it decades ago.

I took the backroads home from the city and spotted this place off of a side road. It's a cute little playground set up next to a small church. The perfect place to watch the sun set, drink Starbucks, and kick back for a moment. I had fun taking photos here.
Perfect picture-taking lighting & that praying mantis was extremely rad, too. That green and black skirt is one of my favorites. I bought it at Anthropologie a few months ago for only $9.95. I've worn it so many times that it's kind of ridiculous.

How was your Monday? Score any awesome thrifts today? Monday's always seem to be pretty good for thrifting in our area.
P.S. This is the pretty ring I treated myself to today. I've been watching it for over a year now. I had hoped it would be an engagement ring someday but it went on sale (for more than half off!) so I purchased it for myself. Who needs men to buy diamonds and seafoam green sapphires? Not this betty. You know what they say about independent women. Always getting what they want. My right hand is sparkling nicely.

I love me a great thrift store find too. I could spend all day shopping in them...I think it's the thrill of the hunt, for sure! Finding new ones are definately the highlights of my day. That purse is too cute and the new ring....TO DIE FOR!!
