Swim Season

With all of the snow quickly melting today, it's made me think about how close beach season is... swimsuit season! I'm a swimsuit-aholic. I've got more than necessary, and that still is over whatever amount you're thinking about right now. I live at the beach. What can you expect?

I'm constantly shopping for swimwear. There are two types of suits that I look for; Pretty suits to lounge around the beach and pool in and suits that I can be active in (for surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, etc.). Definitely 2 different types. Here are a few suits that I'm envying for the first option. At the moment, I'd love to add some of these girly suits to my swimsuit drawer.

1.) The "Floral Rush" bikini from Anthropologie. The pink, reversable smocking makes me smitten!
2.) The gold hardware on this bikini is fantastic. The spliced top has a removable strap, too... perfect for beach trips.
3.) Western Cowboys may be applicable while surfing as well as fashionable. Still obsessing over this bikini since last week's 10 Things I Love.
4.) Such an elegant little bikini made by Juicy and titield Crinkle-Crinkle. Too funny.
5.) This one is uber-sexy... Maybe a little too revealing for a day on tha public beach but I love the details.
6.) I've been admiring this strapless suit for years. This Fable by Barrie gem is so stylish. I'm more of a "straps-needed" kind of gal since I'm always up and moving and would be afraid of losing my top! So cute and retro.
7.) This classic vintage-inspired black suit from Newport News is perfect and at a great price!
8.) Diane von Furstenberg nailed it with this little number! The classic black and white fabric has won me over.
9.) I've also been swooning over this suit for a while now, too. There are cute layerd ruffles on the butt!
10.) Of all brands, I think that Free People has some killer patterns in their new collection! This high-waisted garden print bikini is to die for (at least I think so!).
11.) Mesh please? How about this see-through number from American Apparel?
I've already picked up this suit from Fables by Barrie earlier this season. I got it for a steal on eBay and it came directly from the home of Bernie Dexter. I admire her, so graceful and such a beauty. The top fits me a little odd but it will make some beach apperances for sure.
I'm loving the high-waisted look. I also purchased these online and am awaiting their arrival so I can march around in the house wearing them, at least until the weater warms. I ordered plain black with hope that I'd find a pretty top to pair with them somewhere on a shopping venture. I hope they're stunning!
Have any favorite swim collections this season? If so, share with me! I'd love to check them out. It's almost April... only about a month and a half until I can roll out of bed and throw on a swimsuit for the day. The summer months around here mostly consist of bikinis and coverups.

Think warm thoughts!
