I always look forward to the 2nd Friday of every month. In the quaint little town of Berlin an Art Stroll occurs on the 2nd Friday. I love these art strolls. Berlin is a historic community with lots of fun things to do and great people to visit.
I decided that Friday was going to be girls night out. Two of my fabulous girlfriends, Tracy and Emily, strolled down the streets of Berlin with me. We stopped at the Berlin Coffe House first to grab a bite to eat and watch local musician (and friend), Phil Knight, perform. He's such a soulful singer and you can really tell that he loves what he does when he performs.
Next stop: The Worcester County Art Council. Not only do they offer great snacks and wine during the art strolls, but they have constantly changing artwork displayed. This month's featured artist used mixed media (glass, acrylic, watercolor, pastels) to create materpieces. I loved the colors and playfulness of this piece.
Then, to the Atlantic Hotel to check out the pianist and fancy decor.
Johns Premium Cigars held their grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony during Friday's Art Stroll. This new place was awesome! Such a cool atmosphere. Kind of like an old-school smoke shop from decades past. So smokey and so much to choose from (if you smoke cigars). I hope that this business does well in Berlin! Such a neat idea for a historic town.
Finally, to finish up the night, milkshakes at Boomer's! Mint chocolate chip, of course. We drank them at the diner stools. These shakes were enough to fill 2 people so we got to-go cups and enjoyed them in the car, too. Delicious.
This concludes my amazing Friday night out with the girls. It's always fun to do something enriching with the gals. Hope next month's stroll is just as fun, if not better!
