Outfits

I really like clothes. I like to mix vintage finds, mended items, and more modern items when putting together an outfit. Most of the time, my outfits are picked out last minute in my rush to drink coffee, eat some oatmeal, walk the dog, get ready, and manage to make it to work on time. Mornings are quite quick around this cottage!
I've never been much of a jeans & sneakers kind of girl. I actually hate wearing jeans and sneakers. I'm kind of tall, 5'8". If I wear heels, I'm pushing 6'. That's why I'm a skirt girl. I've had a hard time finding jeans or pants that actually fit me since I was in elementary school. Wearing a girls size 12 Slim in 8th grade isn't always such a good thing. When I enetered high school, I was the girl that wore a skirt and tights to school everyday. Except for my sophomore year... seems I really liked t-shirts, fleece pants, and hemp jewelry that year. What got into me? Who knows.
I like wearing heels and longer skirts. It makes me feel good. I think a high waisted skirt with a pair of tights is way more comfortable than tight-fitten skinny jeans. Anyone else with me on this?

I've been trying to take some OOTD, Outfit of the Day, photos. A way to keep track of what I wear and how I've worn it. Seems as though I love vintage circle skirts. Who am I kidding? I already knew that. Scooping them up at thift stores fills me with excitement. Taking something with Union Made by Women tags in it and pairing it with a modern top makes me giddy.

How do you feel about this topic? Outfit of the Day's, vintage styling, transforming vintage items for modern wear, jeans? Any of it?

I'm running upstairs to put on a silk dress, tights, and my vintage 1970's Frye boots and heading to work. Have fun getting dressed this morning. It's always one of my favorite parts of the day!

HI! Came here from Ampersand's blog. I didn't have to even read the description and instantly fell in love with your blog.

I'm in the same situation as you with height, but I'm far to broad and round to fit into most vintage clothing, so Jeans and Ts are my best best. But Rockabilly is my favorite.

Seriously, you're my inspiration to lose some weight so I can finally fit into some of these clothes. Consider me an avid reader!!!
