Fabric Outlet

Doesn't this look like Heaven on Earth? Well, for a seamstress, at least! The PA Fabric Outlet in Lemoyne, PA is bursting at the seams (no pun intended. ha!) with high-quality sewing materials. I get giddy just thinking about it!
They have aisles filled with velvet ribbons, more buttons than you would ever know what to do with, thosands of bolts of fabric, feathers, doo dads, and what-cha-ma-call-its galore. Everything you can imagine, or have ever searched for while working on a sewing project and couldnt locate, can be found under this one roof.

I stopped by the Fabric Outlet to price automotive upholstery fabric to reupholster the seats in my '67 Saab. The foam, leather, and fabric that make the seats is completely dry-rotted and in dire need of being redone. To my surprise, they had the exact item I had been searching for! & at a good price! Now, I just need to figure out how many yards I'll need to cover the itty bitty seats of the Saab.
I was also admiring the pom pom selection. I purchased a pom pom maker a little while back and have been making my own pom poms for decorative purposes. It would take me forever to make this many! Even better? These fun mustard yellow poms were only 5 cents each!
The PA Fabric Oulet is located in historic Lemoyne, PA... only about a mile from the Susquehanna River. The beautiful brick building it is located in is pretty awesome, too.
Seamstresses rejoyce because there are special places like this! I could have spent hours upon hours in this place just dreaming about the things I'd like to make. Have you ever been to this outlet or one similar? If so, what kind of deals did you get? Or, spill some tips about automotive reupholstering if you've done that, too, please!
