For years I have thought about getting a mermaid tattoo. It wasn't until recently that I thought, "Why not?" and my mother said, "I knew you'd have one on your body sooner or later." I'm a little in love with mermaids and have been ever since I can remember.
Yesterday was the day. James Delzel, from Independent Tattoo, helped create a one-of-a-kind mermaid with my direction. It took a few weeks, some last minute changes, and lots of mental preparation for this pretty lady to go on my ribs.
James is a friend of mine and I wouldn't want anyone else working on my ribs. I was squirming like an inch-worm. My fists were clenched, eyes closed, and body as tense as possible. It's such a crazy, nerve-wrenching, feeling. I told Jamie several times to throw his weight into me to keep making progress.
My mermaid isn't finished yet. Decided it was better to do her in two visits after I started sweating profusely and shivering at the same time. My body didn't like being stabbed thousands of times for several hours. Here she is so far! I got back in 2 weeks to have her finished. Wish me luck!I love her already and can't wait to see her finished!
