Serro Scotty

Fun for the whole family in a Serro Scotty! Check out this lovely gem!
Serro Scotty travel trailers are an American classic. This poor abandoned little camper has been sitting all along on the side of the road since early 2009 (maybe even before then!). I love driving past it when I visit Assateague Island.
I believe that this trailer is a 1956 HiLander. I'd love to see what's stashed away inside of it! This guy is all locked up. Based upon similar Scotty advertisements, this model features a double-sized bunk bed, a refrigerator, a stove, a sink, and an entire bathroom... and it's only 12'3"!
I'd love to restore it. I wonder who this belongs to and why they've left it sit unattended on a roadway for over 2 years. There has to be some magnificent story behind it. Check out these details:
Don't you just love the "Good Sam Club" bumper sticker!? What a piece of work? It's fun to find vintage remnants.

**Note: As of April, 30th, 2011, the Serro has moved! Someone claimed it and finally took it home.

It's a Highlander, and it's not terribly rare. I can tell you just about anything you'd want to know about these, and if you and Scott ever come to the casa, we'll show you what the inside of OUR Scotty looks like. : )

Generally speaking, you can find them in the $1500-$4000 range depending on condition.

Thanks for the info, Stacey! I've got my eyes peeled for one to park in my driveway :)
