Coal Town Rounders

These guys are un-be-lieve-able! The Coal Town Rounders, ladies & gentlemen.

I spent Saturday night in Harrisburg, PA. Kid PA had a show scheduled that night at the Appalachian Brewery's Abbey Bar. I knew that the boys were playing with a few different bands, and that one was a folky/bluegrass band that was good, but I didn't know much else. One of the local tattoo shops had called 4 bands to play that night in celebration of their 3-year-anniversary. Kid PA was stoked and I was stoked to be in central PA again.

We went swimming all day, relaxed pool side, ate burgers from the grill, and then geared up for the show. I was designated photographer, of course. Here's what the brewery looks like...
Some fine hops transformed into beer there, I'm sure! I was too busy taking pictures of the bands and shaking my tail feathers to think about the brew though.

The Coal Town Rounders were mesmorzing. I can't even begin to describe how great they sounded. Goosebumbs were produced after hearing a few strokes of the banjo, though. I highly sugguest that you go over to their Facebook page and take a listen.
The Rounders are from Scranton, PA. Looks like I'll have to go visit our friend, Michael, in Scranton and see these guys perform again live in the very near future. I love bluegrass music that makes me want to move. This band is overflowing with soul and passion. Check 'em out.

Killer pictures, right? I was really pleased with how awesome they turned out! Great lighting after playing with the camera settings for a bit. Stay tuned for some crazy cool Kid PA pictures, too! ... Another group of talented guys that have a love for music that you can feel when they perform.
