No where is life richer than where the land and water meet... and there are ponies! Ponies make everything better. Don't you agree? I'm, without a doubt, spoiled to have such a beautiful beach only a few miles from my home. This is Assateague Island... my home away from home. I try to go to the island on a daily basis. I'm sure you can understand why after looking at these photos.
When the ponies are this pretty, the water is dark blue, and the park rangers are incredibly friendly - Why would I not love Assateague? Has anyone, other than my neighbors who read this blog, ever been to Assateague? What was your favorite part? I have so many favorites that the list could easy fill a page of standard paper.
I probably won't make it to the island to see the ponies this weekend, though. My waiting-tables job seems to have claimed priority over the ponies for the next few days. Do you have big weekend plans? I hope you do. I'll just live vicariously through everyone elses weekend stories because mine will be filled with serving drinks to middle-aged people on vacation. Happy first weekend of June!

Oh my goodness that beach is incredible! As a completely and unfortunately land-locked Utahan, I'm always jealous of anyone near the ocean. Looks amazing!
